In the contemporary era, leadership and management have become important dimensions in the workplace. How one moves forward and how daily functions are supported through decision-making is pivotal to the success of any organization; particularly so outside of profit-seeking ventures in American business. Some antiquated ideas about who are leaders and how they function within organizations are being challenged, giving rise to further research in the concept and phenomenon of leadership development.

These samples are the end-result of a team collaboration around leadership and management issues in the workplace; the underlying aim of the presentation and the paper was to highlight the shifts in style and purpose in executives as a historic and sociological function in organizational development.
