Programs for performances and events serve a multiple purposes: they provide pertinent information for participating in the experience; they offer an opportunity to further relationships; and they make great takeaways for developing more audiences.
The sample program offered comes from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro's University Performing Arts Series (now, again, the University Concert and Lecture Series) while I served as series manager and Strategic Communications Director with the College of Visual and Performing Arts at UNCG. The series featured leading artists across disciplines presenting performances and talks aimed toward bringing contemporaneous thought into the academic and community setting.
I designed this program for the Bill. T Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company as a part of our series. I worked with their company manager to ensure the billing, casting and bios, along with the look of copy was suitable. The branding and marketing utilized toward the back of the program was part of our standard program shell for UPAS engagements.
